  Whether NEMA provides entertainment for your wedding, anniversary, school dance, birthday party, graduation party, corporate event, or  holiday celebration, we strive to entertain your guests while still maintaining absolute professionalism.

As owner of Northeast Music Authority you will always deal with me, Michael Youngblood.  From our first e-mail or telephone call to our later sit-down meetings, you will always know who your DJ is and what DJ will be playing the music at your function.  I believe in a personalized touch at every event.  You and I will go over every detail until you are satisfied.

What are the benefits of hiring a DJ as opposed to running the party myself?
The following information outlines how hiring a DJ enhances any event that you may be hosting:

Master of Ceremonies

  • Announcement of all functions for your event, such as the arrival of bridal party, cake cutting, dollar dance, garter throw, etc.
  • Guest of honor announcements, such as birthday introductions
  • Any party or game directions and winners will be announced

Event Coordinator

  • NEMA will inform the photographer and/or videographer of all important functions during your event so they may be captured on film

  • Will coordinate with banquet facility for proper DJ/dance location, guest of honor entrances, and any other special announcements, such as serving of dinner or a cake cutting

Activity Director

  • Crowd participation, dances, and games

  • Any special games/activities will flow smoothly through direction of NEMA

  • Children's games, favorites include:  musical chairs and the limbo

  • Any special guests, like a surprise clown, will be welcomed with cheer

  • Props for your guests are always provided (hats, maracas, leis, etc.)

Meetings with the DJ

  • For wedding services we provide an initial phone meeting followed by one (or more) face to face meeting(s)

  • All other special occasions involve one or more phone meetings and a sit down meeting if requested

  • NEMA will meet/speak with you as many times as necessary to answer all your questions and perfect the plans for your event

  • During this time, you and your DJ can create a customized introduction song for your entrance at your wedding reception

Equipment

  • Only high quality equipment will be used at your function, which means you will have nothing short of reliability

  • NEMA owns several sound systems and we will be sure to use the appropriate system for your party so as not to overpower or be to quiet for the size of the venue

  • Prerecorded music for wedding ceremony is also available (additional fees may apply)

  • Lighting is provided as a basic service provided it is suitable for the occasion

Music

  • "We Play the Music YOU Want" is our philosophy that NEMA is known for, ensuring that YOU and YOUR GUESTS remember your event for many years to come

  • YOU decide what music you would like to hear with professional guidance from NEMA, taking into consideration music you do NOT want to hear

  • You may prefer NEMA to design an evening of music tailored to your event, thus allowing for a wide range of music to be played for everyone to enjoy

  • Our music is censored according to FCC regulations -- this is a major consideration as we do not wish to offend anyone that may be present at your event

  • Karaoke available (additional fee)
